Identity Provider, a (Shibboleth) server that authenticates users and conveys their attributes to requesting resources. In other terms it provides the digital identities of its users to other servers in the AAI. The Identity Provider software and is usually managed by the user's institute administration also referred to as the user's Home Organization.
